Years of experience combined with the latest technology

J J Ceramics is a Dental Laboratory situated on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland. The laboratory was opened by Jonathan Midgley in 2010 and now employs five qualified technicians and two support staff. The Laboratory has evolved and embraced the latest in Cad/Cam technology, investing in four high quality milling machines capable of milling almost all dental materials available on the market today.

The digital division of J J Ceramics is managed by Justin Midgley who joined the Laboratory full time in 2019 after qualifying as a dental prosthetist from Tafe, Brisbane. Justin brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in all aspects of digital dental technology.

This father and son team combines over 30 years of experience in old school dental ceramics with an extremely high level of technical digital knowledge to offer our clients the best of high quality traditionally made restorations as well as the best and latest restorations utilizing digital technology.

The laboratory now offers a fully digital workflow and can work on scans received from any intra-oral scanner on the market. We are a registered TRIOS ready Laboratory and have Sirona connect for CEREC scanners and an Itero portal. We have two Asiga printers and a Nextdent printer for all printed dental solutions.

For the best results in aesthetics, effective communication between the Laboratory and the dentist is a priority. All cases can be planned digitally utilising DSD software and these designs can be incorporated into the milled final crowns. The designs are viewed and approved by the dentist and patient before the final restorations are manufactured.Shade taking using the e-lab system is undertaken in the Laboratory by appointment only. We do also work with photographs to improve aesthetics of crowns to increase patient acceptance of restorations. Our implant workflow includes the planning and fabrication of implant surgical guides that enable the precise placement of implants to optimise implant integration and support for the restoration.

J J Ceramics prides itself on offering high quality dental restorations made with only the best TGA approved materials for our clients’ peace of mind. Our service is second to none and all our work is made efficiently and accurately in our laboratory. We offer work Australia wide using couriers and overnight mail.
